Norwich Technical High School student takes first prize at IOL’s 12th annual BrainDance awards

Norwich Technical High School student Marissa Fuller has been awarded first prize in the academic category in the Institute of Living’s (IOL’s) BrainDance awards competition, which encourages high school students to gain knowledge about psychiatric diseases and develop a more tolerant and realistic perspective toward people with severe psychiatric problems. The competition also aims to promote students’ interest in careers in mental health care

Her presentation “Depression” garnered her first place among those entered in the academic category. Overall, 250 students and teachers submitted academic, art and mixed media projects in the 12th annual BrainDance competition, held on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Hartford Hospital’s Institute of Living in Hartford
