In Grade 9, students will understand the basics of:  business, economics, banking & finance, retail operations, management, marketing and the legal aspects of business.  All students work together on production activities for The Emporium at Norwich Tech which includes:  inventory, sales transactions, merchandising/visual merchandising, creating print and broadcast media.  All students are members of DECA—an association which prepares emerging leasers and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.

In Grade 10, students will focus on:  retail functions, principles of sales, and expanded promotional skills in social media advertising and business communications.  All students work together on production activities for The Emporium at Norwich Tech which includes:  inventory, sales transactions, merchandising/visual merchandising, creating print and broadcast media.  All students are members of DECA—an association which prepares emerging leasers and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.

In Grade 11, students will apply:  target market segmentation, marketing research, product development, channels of distribution, pricing methods and strategies, and creating promotional materials for products and services.  All students work together on production activities for The Emporium at Norwich Tech which includes:  inventory, sales transactions, merchandising/visual merchandising, creating print and broadcast media.  All students are members of DECA—an association which prepares emerging leasers and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.

Grade 12 students will develop skills in:  entrepreneurship and business ownership, financial reporting and recordkeeping, QuickBooks accounting software, and business management functions.  All students work together on production activities for The Emporium at Norwich Tech which includes:  inventory, sales transactions, merchandising/visual merchandising, creating print and broadcast media.  All students are members of DECA—an association which prepares emerging leasers and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.

Students can choose to further their education at numerous colleges and universities across the country in order to obtain a four-year degree in marketing, business management, finance or hospitality management.
